Who was Naziha Salim?
Naziha Salim was born in 1927 into an Iranian family. her father was a painter by profession, And his mother was an embroidery artist. Salim also had three brothers. And he was also an expert in art work. Her one brother Jawad was widely regarded as one of Iraq’s most influential sculptors. Salim studied painting and Graduated from Baghdad Institute of Fine Arts. She completed his painting studies and became a professor of painting. She is considered one of the most famous painters in Iraq.
Naziha Salim studied abroad
She is specializes in fresco and mural painting in Paris. She was the first woman to be awarded a scholarship to study at the Ecole National Superior des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Today, whenever you open Google, you will see a picture in the space named Google, Which is created by Naziha. Her other brother was famous for making impressive sculptures. Her Third brother Rashid was a political cartoonist.
